The ScanGauge is designed to plug directly into the OBDII diagnostics connector under the dash of 1996 and new cars and light trucks. Some vehicles built prior to 1996 may also be compatible with ScanGauge products.

The ScanGaugeII features the exclusive X-GAUGE™ programmable gauge system; you can monitor parameters such as transmission temperature, trip data and fuel economy information. X-Gauge™ gives you the ability to customize your ScanGaugeII by adding additional vehicle specific digital gauges.
Automatic Trip Computers
With five built-in trip computers, the ScanGauge can keep track of everything from fuel cost to distance traveled and everything in between. Data is stored on the ScanGauge and is retained even when the power is disconnected.
Time & Distance Trip Computers
The ScanGauge includes three trip computers based on time and distance. They include the Current Trip, Today Trip and Previous Day Trip. Each trip computer starts automatically and tracks the following parameters: MPG, Fuel Used, Max. Coolant Temp, Miles Driven, Max. RPM, Hours Driven, Max. MPH, Average MPH & Fuel Cost
Fuel & Tank Trip Computers
The ScanGauge includes two trip computers based on the current tank of fuel. They include the Current Tank and Tank to Empty. Each trip computer starts automatically when you tell ScanGauge you have filled your tank. It also includes MPG for current tank, Fuel Used on current tank, tank to empty, distance driven, distance until empty, hours driven on current tank, hours to empty, average speed & fuel used cost
Performance Monitor
The ScanGaugeII features the all-new Performance Monitor™ for real-time performance measurements. The Performance Monitor gives you the ability to track your vehicle’s performance over short periods of time, distance and acceleration.
Monitor various aspects of your vehicle’s performance such as tracking your quarter-mile times and speeds at the track, determining your vehicle’s 0-60 time, measuring your vehicle’s braking performance, saving and recalling performance runs and monitoring specific digital gauges.
Turn off That Check Engine Light!
The ScanGaugeII can check for Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) and if found, can display how many there are and the Trouble Codes themselves. Using the internet or repair manuals, these can be translated to the failed component and repairs can be made.
Clear Trouble Codes
Data captured when the Trouble Code was set can be recalled to help troubleshoot the problems (was the temperature hot or cold, speed high or low, etc.). The ScanGauge II can be used to clear the trouble codes and data which will turn off the warning lamp
Is Your Vehicle Ready for Emissions Testing?
Some states now require that before running emissions checks, the vehicle self-tests have to be completed and cleared. The ScanGaugeII reports this “Readiness”.
Read & Clear Pending Trouble Codes
