A 4WD storage box keeps recovery equipment, tools, cooking gear and personal items separated and easier to secure. This collection includes Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro, Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit, The Bush Company Storage Box - Low Lid and The Bush Company Ammo Box High Lid.
A hard-shell cargo box or storage crate can simplify packing, but the right format depends on the available space and what you carry. Check the external dimensions, lid clearance and current manufacturer information before building a layout around any box.

KEY CATEGORIES AND WHAT THEY'RE BUILT FOR
WOLF PACK PRO
The Wolf Pack Pro is the base Front Runner box in this collection. It suits general touring storage where a repeatable, stackable format is useful. Confirm current dimensions and load limits before matching multiple Wolf Pack Pro boxes to a canopy, rack or drawer system.
WOLF PACK PRO HI-LID KIT
The Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit replaces the standard lid to provide more usable height. It suits bulky contents that do not fit comfortably beneath the standard lid. Check the product contents before ordering because the Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit is a conversion kit, not a separate complete box.
THE BUSH COMPANY STORAGE BOX - LOW LID
This lower-lid format is worth considering where canopy shelves, drawer tops or tonneau covers restrict vertical clearance. Do not assume it matches the dimensions, sealing or stacking arrangement of a Wolf Pack Pro. Compare the current product details first.
THE BUSH COMPANY AMMO BOX HIGH LID
The Ammo Box High Lid is the other Bush Company option in this collection. Assess it for taller contents, then confirm its external dimensions and the clearance required to open and remove it from the vehicle.
WHY CHOOSE A HARD-SHELL BOX
Hard-shell storage separates equipment that would otherwise move around the canopy or load area. It also gives tools, cookware and recovery gear a defined place, making the touring setup easier to inspect and repack.
Stacking, sealing and locking vary by product. A closed box should not automatically be treated as submersible or given a load rating that the manufacturer has not stated. For a Wolf Pack Pro or any other storage crate, follow the current product instructions and use suitable restraint inside the vehicle.
WOLF PACK PRO IN DETAIL
The Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro is designed as a repeatable hard-shell storage format. The Wolf Pack Pro can be used for general gear separation, while the Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit adds height when the standard lid does not provide enough clearance for the contents.
Some Wolf Pack Pro configurations use lock-compatible latches. A lock can limit casual access, but it does not secure the box to the vehicle. Check the current Front Runner instructions for latch compatibility, stacking limits and mounting requirements before fitting a Wolf Pack Pro to a rack or canopy.
THE BUSH COMPANY STORAGE BOX OPTIONS
The Bush Company Storage Box - Low Lid and Ammo Box High Lid provide two lid formats for different space constraints. Choose according to available height and the equipment being carried. Their dimensions, closure details and manufacturer limits should be checked independently rather than inferred from the Wolf Pack Pro.
STACKING AND MOUNTING
A stackable box still needs appropriate restraint. The correct method depends on the box, mounting surface, expected load and whether the box must remain removable. Avoid drilling through a canopy floor, drawer system or rack until the mounting points and clearances have been assessed.
If a Wolf Pack Pro is carried loose, it still needs to be restrained against movement. If it is mounted permanently, access to the box and nearby equipment must remain practical. Our workshops can assess the complete layout rather than treating the box in isolation.
CHOOSE BY USE CASE
For general touring gear, start with the standard Wolf Pack Pro and divide contents by task. Use the Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit where bulky cookware, tools or other tall items need more internal height. Consider The Bush Company Storage Box - Low Lid where headroom is limited, or the Ammo Box High Lid where taller contents are the priority.
Keep dense tools and recovery equipment low in the layout. Allow enough space to open every lid and lift removable boxes clear. Label each cargo box by function so equipment can be found without unloading the full canopy.
BRANDS WE STOCK AND WHY
Front Runner supplies the Wolf Pack Pro and Wolf Pack Pro Hi-Lid Kit in this collection. The Front Runner Wolf Pack Pro provides the standard format, while the Hi-Lid Kit offers an alternative for taller contents.
The Bush Company supplies the Storage Box - Low Lid and Ammo Box High Lid. These formats give buyers different lid-height options when planning around canopy or load-area clearance.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING A STORAGE BOX
Measure the usable length, width and height of the intended position. Include the clearance needed to open the lid and remove the box. Check how the storage crate will be restrained, whether the latches suit your security requirements and what sealing information the manufacturer provides.
Also consider the complete load. A Wolf Pack Pro filled with tools requires a different mounting assessment from a Wolf Pack Pro carrying clothing or light camp equipment. Product load limits and vehicle load requirements still apply.
If you want our team to plan a 4WD storage box layout for your canopy, drawers or rack, our Ferntree Gully and Pakenham workshops can assess the vehicle and intended load. Send us a service enquiry with your vehicle, storage system and gear list so we can discuss a suitable layout.
Email sales@ultimateoffroad.com.au with your vehicle details and our friendly staff will confirm fitment, quote the work and arrange a booking at Ferntree Gully or Pakenham.
