4WD suspension components need to work with the vehicle, its suspension design and the changes already made. A lift can alter CV angles, sway bar position, shock travel and leaf spring shackle geometry. The right supporting parts help the suspension move through its intended range without introducing avoidable bind or placing unnecessary load on adjacent components.

We stock vehicle-specific parts from Roadsafe, Tough Dog Suspensions and Outback Armour. Selection depends on the exact model, existing lift and intended use. We will help identify what the build needs without treating every available component as compulsory.

WHY SUSPENSION COMPONENTS MATTER ON A LIFTED BUILD

Suspension changes affect more than ride height. CV joints, sway bars, bushes, shock absorbers and leaf spring shackles continue to operate as one system. A component that suits one lift or vehicle may be unnecessary or unsuitable on another.

Diff drop kits can reduce altered CV angles where the application and lift geometry support their use. Adjustable sway bar links can help position the sway bar through suspension travel. Greasable shackles provide access for routine lubrication. Each part still requires correct installation, clearances and maintenance.

CHOOSE BY VEHICLE AND USE CASE

For Ranger PX1 to PX3, including Raptor, and Mazda BT-50 Gen 2, the collection includes a Roadsafe diff drop kit. A separate Roadsafe extended shackle listing covers specified Ranger PJ to PK, BT-50 Gen 1 and Hilux IFS with leaf rear applications. Check the listing against the exact vehicle before ordering.

Colorado RG, D-Max and MU-X owners can choose the listed Roadsafe 25mm coil strut spacer. A 35mm pair is listed for Navara D40. Tough Dog greasable shackles cover rear applications for Hilux 2015+ and Navara NP300. For loaded touring or corrugated-road use, inspect the complete suspension rather than choosing greasable shackles solely by vehicle name.

COMPONENT CHOICE BY LIFT BRAND

An Outback Armour lift does not automatically require every matching accessory. The stocked Outback Armour adjustable sway bar link and Outback Armour greasable pin should be checked against the vehicle and installed suspension. For compatible Tough Dog shocks, the adjuster knob and gasket are service parts. Tough Dog greasable shackles must also match the listed rear suspension application.

Mixing brands can be appropriate when dimensions, mounts and operating ranges match. It should not be assumed from the brand name alone. Roadsafe parts used with another suspension system need the same vehicle and geometry checks.

Outback Armour supplies the adjustable link and greasable pin in this collection. Tough Dog Suspensions covers greasable shackles and a shock adjuster component. Roadsafe covers the listed diff drop kit, extended shackles and coil strut spacers. This range addresses specific supporting parts rather than complete suspension kits.

WHAT A QUALITY COMPONENT INSTALL INVOLVES

Correct installation starts with confirming the vehicle variant, existing lift, ride height and component compatibility. Mounts and bushes need inspection before parts are fitted. Fasteners must be tightened to the applicable specifications, and suspension movement and clearances checked after installation. Alignment should be checked and corrected where the work affects it.
