Are your bull bars airbag-compatible?

Yes. We only fit bull bars that are certified airbag-compatible (and AEB-compatible where the vehicle has it) for that specific make and model. We confirm sensor function as part of the install and we issue a fitment report.

What is the difference between a steel and an alloy bull bar?

Steel bars are heavier (typically 60-90kg) but give the strongest impact resistance and are the standard for remote touring with wildlife strike risk. Alloy bars are 30-40kg lighter, suit Hilux and Ranger payload-conscious builds, but cost more and give slightly less impact protection. Hybrid bars combine an alloy or composite outer with steel mounts to balance weight and winch capability.

Will a bull bar interfere with my AEB or parking sensors?

It must not. The right bar is engineered to relocate AEB radar and parking sensors so they continue working. We test sensor function post-install. If a bar cannot maintain sensor compliance on your vehicle, we will tell you before you order.

Will fitting a bull bar void my factory warranty?

Manufacturer policies vary. Most Australian warranty policies allow ADR-compliant aftermarket bull bars provided they are professionally installed. We supply a fitment report you can keep on file with your insurer and dealer.

Can the bar carry a winch?

Most bull bars in this collection have an integrated winch cradle rated to 9,500-12,000lb. Nudge bars and lightweight alloy bars usually do not. We will match the bar to your intended winch capacity and vehicle weight.

Will a heavy bull bar make the front of my 4WD sag?

A bar adds 60-90kg to the front axle. On factory suspension that often shows as nose-down ride height and reduced front clearance. We pair bar fitments with a heavy-duty front suspension upgrade where required -- we will measure your vehicle pre-install.

What about approach angle?

Bar geometry varies. Triple-loop bars cost a few degrees of approach angle compared to a centre-loop or nudge bar. For serious off-road builds we factor approach angle into the bar choice and the suspension lift.

Are your bull bars ADR-compliant for Victorian roadworthy?

Every bar we install meets ADR airbag and crash-pulse compliance for the listed vehicle. We issue the fitment paperwork. If your vehicle is going for a roadworthy in Victoria, the bar will pass.

How long does a bull bar install take?

A straight bar fit is a contained job: factory bumper cut and trimmed, mounts torqued to spec, AEB and airbag sensors tested. Wiring a winch and lights at the same time adds work, and pairing the bar with a heavy-duty suspension upgrade makes it a larger build. The actual workshop time depends on the vehicle, the bar and what else we are fitting alongside it. We confirm a firm timeframe at booking.

What is the lead time for a bull bar install at your workshops?

Lead time depends on bar availability and workshop load. We fit at Ferntree Gully or Pakenham with the bar mounted, sensors tested and alignment checked before the vehicle leaves the bay. Submit a service enquiry with your vehicle and the bar you are considering and we will confirm a slot at booking.
