WHY PRESSURE CHOICE MATTERS MORE THAN BRAND
A tyre pressure gauge only helps when the target pressure is appropriate. The following ranges are general starting points, not universal settings:
Sand: 16 to 20 psi for most 4WDs. Softer sand may require further adjustment, but very low pressure increases the risk of a tyre moving on the rim.
Corrugated tracks: 22 to 28 psi to reduce harshness while retaining sidewall support.
Rocky and rough trails: 20 to 24 psi to help the tyre follow uneven surfaces without unnecessarily increasing pinch-damage risk.
Mud: 18 to 22 psi to balance footprint and the ability to dig for traction.
