4WD floor mats protect the carpet from the mud, sand, water and grit carried into a vehicle during touring, site work and daily driving. This collection contains Bushranger Mud Tamer front and rear mats. The current range includes a black front option and black or grey rear options, each listed separately.
A useful mat must sit securely, contain debris and come out cleanly when it is time to wash the interior. Fit matters most on the driver's side. A mat that bunches, moves or obstructs pedal travel is unsuitable, regardless of how well it catches dirt.

KEY CATEGORIES AND WHAT THEY'RE BUILT FOR
FRONT FLOOR MATS
The highest-wear position. Front mats handle heel movement, wet footwear and regular entry and exit. The current Bushranger front listing is black.
REAR FLOOR MATS
Rear mud mats help contain debris brought in by passengers, children and pets. Bushranger rear mats are currently listed in black and grey.
GREY AND BLACK
Black suits darker interiors and disguises general grime. Grey can make sand and pale dust less obvious. Choose from the colours listed for the required seating position.
WHY HEAVY-DUTY MATS SUIT WORKING 4WDS
Factory carpet can hold moisture and fine grit, particularly after wet tracks, beach driving or repeated worksite use. Removable rubber car mats provide a sacrificial layer above that carpet. They can be taken out for cleaning before trapped dirt is ground further into the interior. They still need correct positioning and regular inspection, especially around the driver's pedals.
CHOOSE BY USE CASE
For touring or regular wet-track driving, prioritise a raised perimeter and deep tread that can contain water and loose material. Tradie vehicles benefit from the same features because boots often carry gravel, soil and site debris. For family or pet use, consider how easily each mat can be removed and cleaned.
Floor mats only cover the footwells. A cargo liner serves a different area and should not be treated as a substitute for front or rear mats. Check each part of the interior separately when planning protection for a touring or work vehicle.
BRANDS WE STOCK AND WHY
Bushranger is the stocked vendor in this collection. The Bushranger Mud Tamer range uses a heavy rubber construction, deep tread, raised perimeter and trim-to-fit format intended for common Australian 4WD footwells. Confirm the dimensions and required trimming before use rather than relying on a broad vehicle list.
The front and rear products are listed separately. This allows a worn or missing section to be replaced without assuming that every position, colour or configuration is included in one set.
WHAT TO LOOK FOR WHEN CHOOSING FLOOR MATS
Start with footwell shape and safe clearance. The mat should lie flat without folding against the console, seat mounts or pedals. Use the driver-side anchor point on the front mat and confirm that it remains secure. Press every pedal through its full travel before driving, then check the mat again after initial use.
Look for tread that retains grit, an edge that limits water movement and material that remains manageable when removed for cleaning. Trim only along the intended guides. Removing too much material can reduce coverage, while an oversized mat can bunch or move.
For cleaning, remove the mats from the vehicle before hosing or brushing them. Clear loose grit, allow the mats to dry and inspect them for curling, tears or movement before refitting. Orders can be shipped Australia-wide. For selection and fit advice, speak with the Ultimate Offroad team at Ferntree Gully or Pakenham. We can help check the listed option against how your 4WD is used.
