Staying under the Gross Vehicle Mass (GVM) can feel restrictive when preparing for work or off-road adventures.

With a Tough Dog GVM upgrade, your Triton will continue to brake, handle, and steer safely, even when loaded to its new GVM. Testing requirements include:
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing: Confirms axle strength and maximum load capacity.
- Brake Testing: Conducted laden, unladen, and under partial failure to meet ADR35/00 standards.
- ESC Testing: If required, ensures the electronic stability control system is as effective as, or better than, factory settings.
The GVM is the maximum weight a vehicle can legally carry when fully loaded. A Tough Dog GVM upgrade increases your Triton MV’s legal payload capacity without breaching ADRs or safety requirements.
Certification depends on registration status:
- Federal Approval: For new, unregistered vehicles. Supplied with an additional compliance plate.
- State Approval: For vehicles already registered. Approval is achieved using Federal compliance data alongside an inspection by an authorised state engineer.
