- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) testing: Confirms axle strength and maximum carrying capacity.
- Brake Testing: Conducted laden, unladen, and under partial failure to comply with ADR35/00.
- ESC Testing: If required, ensures the stability control system remains equal to or better than the OEM standard.
The GVM is the maximum allowable weight a vehicle can carry when fully loaded. A Tough Dog GVM upgrade increases your LandCruiser 200 Series’ payload capacity while staying compliant with ADRs and road laws.
Certification options depend on registration status:
- Federal Approval: For new vehicles prior to first registration, supplied with an additional compliance plate.
- State Approval: For already-registered vehicles, achieved through Federal compliance data and inspection by an authorised state engineer.
